Noel has done it again! He took a vintage 1976 original Superstar Barbie and restyled and repainted her! Noel is working on several repaints to appear eBay’s auction page, so be sure to sign up and receive notifications via eBay for his upcoming auctions.  

It’s been said the face mold was based upon mega superstar Farrah Fawcett-Majors.

1976 Superstar Barbie comprised of Superstar Barbie, Christie & Ken. The doll featured a new face mold for Mattel and was a success, and collectors still love to collect this doll to date. Superstar had a 1966 Twist ‘n Turn waist, bent arms, a ring hole in the hand, bendable and snap knees, and small, defined toes. Barbie featured a pink dress and a boa; Christie featured a yellow dress and a boa, and Superstar Ken featured a blue velvet jumpsuit with a watch and ring.

The original Superstar Barbie advertisement featured Judy, who at the time played Dyna Girl of Electra Woman and Dyna Girl and was portrayed by Judy Strangis

Superstar Barbie & Christie were re-released by Mattel and designer Bill Greening on August 10th of 2022. Designed by Greening, she was a Black Label Barbie and featured the Superstar Barbie face mold. Both Barbie and Christie were recreated and sold.
